So basically Piers Morgan is a giant asshole and a pretty good example of how not to be an ally. Also Janet Mock is an absolute saint for putting up with him and being the bigger person.

Piers Morgan had an interview on his show with a trans author, Janet Mock, supposedly to talk about her new book. Instead of talking about the book, however, he decided it would be a better idea to start off the interview by stating that she "was born a boy," and then spend the remaining 10 minutes asking questions that would be inappropriate to ask a cis person, let alone a trans woman who is probably pretty sensitive to that topic already. Janet was a terrific sport about it through the entire interview, and although she was visibly uncomfortable, she answered the questions to the best of her ability.
People on the internet, trans and cis alike, were not so polite about it, however. They immediately called him out on it, and instead of politely apologizing like he should have, he lashed out and demanded an apology from them, even going so far as to call Janet back for another interview, just so that he could yell over her and get upset about his perceived injustice.
The reason he thinks he shouldn't apologize is that he's a supporter of gay rights and marriage equality, because apparently, supporting gay people is the same as supporting trans people. This reasoning makes no sense because you can support marriage equality and still use 'faggot' as a pejorative term, and yet Piers seems to think that supporting gay rights means that he's free to offend both trans and gay people without persecution. It's like telling a racist joke, and then saying, "I'm not racist, I have a black friend!" except that the joke was about Asians and didn't include black people in the slightest.
Also, for those of you wondering why any of the questions were offensive, just imagine someone doing a professional interview with you on live TV and asking you about your genitals. Imagine you were born with some genital deformity that had to be corrected with surgery, and Piers just won't stop talking about said surgery and what it entailed and what your genitals looked like before and after the surgery. Wouldn't you be uncomfortable?

Math exam today. One of the biggest point bringing problems was a graph that you need to analyze (well more of a function that you analyze and draw the graph of). Now I like doing that, it's fun and varied, and especially the graph drawing part is fun. This time though it was infuriating.

What do you do when an apparently correct solution (that others got too) is defying logic. When the graph is shooting up into infinity, despite that pesky negative X in it that should bring it down into negative infinity. I have no idea, but I sketched what the solution said I should and called it quits, because one can only take so much bullshit from math before getting the need to murder people.

Right side of it was fairly easy to figure out, but the left side and the left asymptote was hell.

But that function is antisymmetrical, so what's the difference between the right and left side?

It seems pretty simple to me, the left side shoots down to negative infinity, and the right shoots up to positive infinity.

I had a bit of trouble figuring the math to do the limits since its been a while, but even without the math its pretty clear that e^(1/(x^2)) goes to positive infinity far far faster then X goes to 0, so X*e^(1/(x^2)) has lim (x->0-)=-infinity, and lim(x->0+)=inifinity

Man I dunno why but I'm in a black mood today. I feel fearful and put upon and just generally.....like I never should have gotten out of bed. Having a rocky night's sleep probably didn't help but I usually bounce back from that around midday. But the sense of ughhhhhh has just continued all day long today.
