You know that you're inviting more quote pyramids everytime you mention this, right?

Gaaaah. I think my new place has a spider problem. I fucking hate spiders. As it's warmed up the last few weeks, the number of 8 legged incidents has been going up dramatically. First, I laid down a few weeks ago to start reading and one the little bastards ran right across my stomach. Scared the piss out of me. A couple days ago, I noticed one hanging out behind my toilet. After killing it I sat down to use said toilet, and ended up seeing another one along the baseboard by the door.

Now, I just went to take some dishes to the kitchen and noticed one in the sink. And as I was standing there preparing to kill it, another one descended from the ceiling right above the sink and stopped hovering at eye level.

This shit means war!

...You realise you've probably killed countless of their race, while their particular breed has done you really no harm whatsoever? I mean, I don't really like spiders, but nor do I like killing animals for no reason.

Yes, I'm a damn hippy/elf, and my forum name is just a disguise  :P

I don't quite welcome 'em...as I said, I don't like them. I do go to crazy lengths to get them outside, though. Suppose that sounds sad.

Spiders are indeed mostly harmless, in fact more often than not they are helpful, eating the more annoying and damaging household pests.

The problem stems from the fact that some of them are very very poisonous and deadly even to humans, and most spiders are too small to easily identify if they are harmless or dangerous, so they go squish just in case.

If they were smart they would help humanity exterminate the dangerous ones as fast as spiderly possible so we know that all that are left are harmless.

I am the thing that nightmares are made of. I take a Dwarf's bravery, a Goblin's cunning and an elf's beauty. I take these things, and strip them  away as petals from around the center of the flower...and that center leaves me with an Dwarf's greed, a Goblin's hate and an elf's hippy regard for nature.

This is me. Know it, and weep.

Or don't. Hey, want a tissue? I have a box...no, don't sit there! That's where my dog sits!

Eh, I prefer taking a Goblin's beauty, an Elf's bravery and a Dwarf's cunning.

I personally welcome my new spider overlords.

They keep the other bug populations down.
As a child I raised a gargantuan wolf spider broodmother to ascendency in my shed, nurturing her until her spawn covered the walls. Why? You can coexist with wolf spiders, you cannot with wasps. Fuck wasps.

Okay that's cool.
I wish I had a shed in which to raise spiders. There's not really any unused space where I can keep them safe.

You should store them in the nearest fire.
