I grew up in the deep woods most of my childhood. Spiders and 8-legged things of all varieties. Arachinds as big as my hand.

I appreciate their place in the circle of life.

But my house, the open parts of it, are MY domain. My bed is the holiest of holies of my temple.

So those mother fuckers can co-exist, as long as they follow one simple rule: don't ever let me see me you. Stay behind the walls, in the cracks of the baseboard, on the underside of counters. Whereever you need to be, as long as it's not within my line of sight.

Because if I do see you......you're going back to your ancestors as a mashed up ball of chitin and goo.

I'm pissed off that a crazy Ukrainian lady holocausted all of my house's spiders a while back with bleach and worse. To this day the only signs I've seen of them returning is a single spider moult I've found on a staircase. The moth population has bloomed and there's no spiders to keep them in check.

I'll take moths over shit crawling into my mouth while I sleep any day of the week.

Also, clearly that lady was a seekrit Russian spy.

I'm pretty sure spiders don't actually crawl into your mouth when you sleep. Five bucks says that old statistic is bogus.

When the fucking things are crawling on you in real life, it's a lot easier to believe.

From personal experience, I'd rather wake up and find a startled spider dangling above my head than be driven into bloody frenzy by another god damn moth.

I also suspect she was a Russian spy. She was 7 ft tall.

Sure it wasn't just Janet, then?

If it were Janet, would LW be here to tell us about it? I think not.

Yep. This is sixth sense.

Either that, or I don't exist, and am only a figment of LW's imagination....

Would I know? Hm...deeep.

Then again, LW's ghostly mind wouldn't really think of me writing this

Or would it...

I'm pretty sure if I was a Russian spy I'd know about it. Plus I'd never kill spiders, I love spiders!

Haven't you heard of sleeper agents, Janet?

The code-word (probably Potato) will awaken you to do Putin's bidding!

If I was a Russian spy, would I feign friendship with spiders to get others to trust me...?

No, no. Not Putin. Potato is the code word for the Korean spies.
