I've heard of it. I have also heard that everyone in it is a bastard.
Eh. That's true for the FFRP based on it, but the webcomic (It's a manga! I pay artists now!) is the product of an obsessive mind. A very rough summary: drow are magic Mary Sues that have none of the flaws of the race. Also they all look like either children or porn stars. All other races are literally soulless barbarians who are nearly extinct and not even useful as slaves. None of the other races have magic. But basically the predictable superpower-wank, plot armor, and fake ethics that go along with Suedom. And a good part of it is paygated, which is the point where you finally laugh your way on out if you have a strong tolerance for shit.

The weird part to me in that rant is the failure to note that, y'know, it's actually porn. Or at least a notable chunk of it is.

I'm done. I'm FUCKING done.

Have been dating this girl for around 2 months now, and for the first time in ages it looked like I might actually start a relationsship again.

Got a phonecall from her today early in the morning, that she has a boyfriend now (Someone from my class, no less.) and that she doesnt want to see me anymore. Appearantly, that dinner we had last week was just because it was at a nice place and she had taken "pity" on me. Dude pushed it in my face in class today too.

That was honestly, the first time in years that I was angry enough to physically start shaking, and entertain the thought of powerbombing that piece of crap trough the floor. My mood is at an aboslute low now, thanks to this shit.

Noone on my Skypelist online to talk or play something either, altough that's probably better as I tend to get loud when upset.

If you have girl problems I feel bad for you son.
Because they really suck and that's really awful.

I'd start heaping on the "it gets better" and "you'll find someone" platitudes, but I think they're more annoying than anything else, so I'm going to congratulating for not decking the braggart twat. Out of the three people in that story, 2 of them are terrible people (I went on the date with you because yummy food? really?). The last one (you) are strong. You kept composure, and didn't do anything regrettable.

If anything just take pride that you're better than that crap.

I'm sick and tired of my mother using me supposedly not helping around the house as an excuse to not help me finish my room. Months and months ago, she had promised that we were going to fix the floor up so it would stop shaking, and also maybe get the walls painted. But here we are, with me asking her when we're going to do it, because maybe I've gotten tired of living in the same unfinished room for my entire life while my piece of shit brother got a better one at a moment's notice. However, she keeps doing that thing that she does where she starts complaining because supposedly she's the only one who takes care of the house, and everyone else is lazy.

Mom. I do everything you ask without even questioning. I do everything I am supposed to do. I take care of my own space to the best of my ability. I go to school and spend most of my time either working or thinking or studying or whatever. I am not an adult. I am fucking 15 years old. You should know this better than anyone, because you use it as an excuse to talk down to me and not take anything I say seriously. You keep on asking me to "be responsible", but when you describe responsibility it's just you complaining because I do my job and not yours, but you even constantly nag about the way I do my actual job even if there's no problem. I work hard at school and do everything I'm asked to do at home, but apparently because I don't do the things nobody asked me to do, I'm not doing enough.

If anyone is looking for further support/venting space in regards to their shittastic parents.

Eh, 'porn' tends to be a fairly neutral modifier with a slight negative for the various usual reasons. It's not bad because it's porn, but because of what it's porn of and why it's porn (the aforementioned issues and the author's desire to wank to drow, respectively). Though there's a fairly reliable correlation of porn -> bad, this is one of those instances where it being porn isn' the reason the characters are shallow and the 'plot' is terrible. (That, and I skipped over as much of that as possible because eww and because public places.)

Basically it has a symptomatic relationship with bad writing, rather than a causal on.

Figures, my paycheck is right in the middle of where I would immediately walk out and where I would stay. Why can't there be any easy decisions?

I posted about this a little the other day in one of my RPGs, but I wanted to go into more detail in this thread.

So, someone decided it would be a good idea to openly pirate a ton of movies on the internet provided by my housing program. This prompted Comcast to send the organization that runs said housing program a fine of $75,000. For that reason, and also the reason that people kept meeting folks on dating sites to sneak in and scoodlypoop with, the wi-fi at my house was taken away. Now there is only one public computer in the house with internet, and it both sucks and is in high demand. This pretty much affected every aspect of my life, since I have a job which requires me to stay in email contact with my supervisors, and use the internet to complete projects. The house has stated that we are not allowed to get our own internet wired up, because the modem would be a personal item that would have to be in a common area. (The only cable/phone lines are in the living room and staff offices) The only solution would be to have a 4G hotspot, which would be expensive and impractical.

And this is all because of a couple people abusing something and getting it taken away from everyone.

That's ridiculous. The hotspot is.. doable.. but you shouldn't be forced to buy it only because of the actions of another person and the greed of Comcast.

Fining a housing program? Seriously? >_>

That sucks. I can't see how Comcast can justify so large a fine, even if they can prove it was from your housing group(though I assume they can).

They might be trying to cover the cost of some lawsuit levelled against them by the people whose movies were pirated.
The world is not fair.
