I'm fine with the current UI, but the one bit that bugs me the most is that it pauses whenever you want to tweak something. EVER. No choice in the matter. Being able to do things in real-time alone would improve the existing UI tenfold - just look at how well it works with the military commands now.

That said, I have no objection to meaningful UI improvements... so long as Toady's okay with it.

There are already interface topics, and this one has a crappy OP compared to those, so you guys can continue the conversation in those (there's a big one over in suggestions). (yeah, I was accidentally logged in as Threetoe if you saw the earlier message -- I'm on his laptop right now)
