Decoration Question

(1/2) > >>

Labhras:
What produces a higher value end item: lower value metal craft studded with higher value metal or vice versa? ie gold studded with aluminum or aluminum studded with gold?

Terisuke:
I'd think it would depend on the relative quality of the two processes - the multiplier for the material and the quality could easily interact to make one or the other more valuable, and since quality levels are essentially unpredictable I would imagine the difference is negligible.

Jimmy:
Standard gold throne, standard copper decoration: 320
Standard copper throne, standard gold decoration: 320

Order makes no difference to value.

Labhras:
Thanks, I suppose it's just a multiplier for the material values then, and switching the numbers in the equation doesn't do anything.

Dorf3000:
If you're making goblets, remember you get 3 goblets from one bar, but to stud those 3 goblets you'll need 3 more bars.  In that case making the goblets from the more valuable metal is better.
