Sooo... I got an artifact...which then promptly boiled (modded material). and the thing only used limestone and bone.

actually, it wasn't my mod, and it boiled into the air.... and yet still adds to fortress wealth.

Artifacts are technically eternal.  Even if you somehow destroy an artifact, it's still considered to exist somewhere, and if you abandon the fortress and then visit it in adventure mode you might find it randomly strewn around somewhere.  Except in this case it will evaporate spontaneously the moment it respawns, of course.

This is a bug, its the same bug that turns idols and other objects into iron. the bug turns the end product material into whatever is the first material in the specific file. since its a mod that is most likely whats wrong.

regardless, the slime shooter will be completed, come hell or high water, which are both entirely plausible setbacks at this point.
