how do i stop modded material from being used in adv mode?

so i modded in some materials, mostly rare and hazardous, and the moment i go to adv mode to kill some goblins i get pelted by exploding crossbow bolts and mauled by hammergoblins crawling in super rare material full armor set. how do i stop this?

Roll a different world, without the mods, for your adventurers.
That is, have two different DF installations, you cannot put vanilla raws back after you have generated a modded world.

If you are willing to regen and don't expect to mine out or buy items made from those materials, you should be able to give them the [DEEP_SPECIAL] tag in the raws (for either stone or metals, both accept it). This will allow you to regen a new world without having to have a completely separate installation.

Remove [STONE_PREF] from the goblins.
Remove the [PERMITTED_REACTION:~~~~] that produces that thing from the goblins.
Regen.
Poof! You're done.
