Okay, I don't play with small tiles (I prefer bigger ones) but it looks very clear and good. Awesome job.

Update!

I made a few minor changes that I feel greatly contribute to its overall quality.

The left and right arrows were pointing the wrong way.  :P

Fix'd.

Surprisingly readable. Granted, at that size it can't be SUPER-great, but you did a good job with it.

I noticed the Pi symbol had the tail on the wrong side. Fix'd. (I'm noticing these things because I'm in the process of making another set :P)

Not without making many of the extended characters (primarily the lowercase letters with symbols above them) painfully unreadable.

Almost a year playing with vanilla charset only... now switched to yours and going to use it exclusively.
It's everything I ever wanted. Thank you.

I absolutely love this! I barely ever use anything other than the vanilla ASCII, but this looks really great. I tend to use this for fullscreen and then just zoom in, as the smiley faces crack me up. I think it's just the fact that they smile all the time. Even if they're staring death in the face, they're always happy. Hilarious stuff.

Using it and happy!.. I seem to repeat myself... but whatever =)
I have a couple of questions/issues.

First: were you trying to make smooth horizontal walls kind of 'isometric-style'? This is difficult to comprehend, since vertical smoothed walls are 'plain'. And four-wall smoothed rooms, or constructed houses aboveground - they look a little bit strange.

Second. I use Deon's Genesis mod. Here is hematite there, with your tiles. It's OK.

And here is limonite.

It is hard to read by itself, and somehow it combines three colors. Maybe something's wrong with my init.txt settings, but I don't know what.

Third. Ropes/chains are a bit difficult to read.

All that is just a humble opinion =) And BTW, I simply love that designating for digging gives a clear grid. Awesome for fort design!

I'll definitely get to work on some fixes. Thanks for the praise and suggestions for improvement!

Also, the walls are supposed to look like this:

But I've noticed a few opportunities for improvement there, myself.

You see, you have a shadow in the picture. But there is no shadow in DF, so it is a bit harder to comprehend isometrics in-game =)

And one last thing. Mined stone resembles gravestone a little. So that, when I look at my fort, I see rows of gravestones =)
