Ascii Artist Wanted for Roguelike Project
« on: July 18, 2010, 06:52:58 am »

Hello,
I'm looking for a skilled ascii artist to design/beautify a DF-style "overland" map for a big roguelike project currently in the works. The workload should be relatively small; we're looking for one 80x25 map which we already have a template for -- we just want someone with an (ascii) artistic touch. If we like your work I'm sure we can find other things for you to design as well.

We're willing to offer some small amount of compensation if we like your stuff. Also, you'll be immortalized in roguelike form! (This is a massive  multi-year project that's 85% or so complete, so we're definitely getting it out there). Thanks! Hope there's some interest in this.

Urm, I'm somewhat experienced in AsciiDraw, and I'm pretty good at mapping, I might give it a try.

Multicolored or monochrome ASCII?

You should show us what you want, so a lot of people can make maps and you can pick the one you like best.

Multicolored. I'd rather pm individual people who are interested for now. Thanks.
