Awesome image! I always thought of bronze colossi to look somewhat like Regirock from Pokémon, with a hulking bronze/brown body... I guess that wouldn't be very accurate, though.

Is the Bronze colossus inspired from the Colossus of Rhodes? I know that Toady got the idea of a sentient colossus from somewhere else, but where did those people get it from?

From the wiki article: He tried again with a larger, land-based [siege] tower named Helepolis, but the Rhodian defenders stopped this by flooding the land in front of the walls so that the rolling tower could not move.
This is brilliant. I am so going to do this when the sieging armies get siege weapons. (But where did they get all that water from? Aqueducts?)

I've always assumed that the bronze colossus was a reference to Talos, from Greek legend.
