Why no crazed
« on: November 24, 2012, 02:11:21 pm »

[CE_ADD_TAG:CRAZED:PROB:15:RESISTABLE:START:1:PEAK:10:END:2000]

Why doesn't this work? First time with CE_ADD_TAG.

Apologies, I should have said it doesn't work even if that is set to 100. Or should that just be removed altogether?

Some tags aren't addable, unfortunately. You'll just have to wait until CE_ADD_TAG is more supported.

CRAZED is a supported tag...however I don't recommend it as crazed dwarves are still marked as members of your civilization and killing them will trigger loyalty cascades. The tag itself is also buggy...it doesn't work in arena.

A better pair of tags would be OPPOSED_TO_LIFE and NOT_LIVING...they enable the same hostile effect, but the victim can be killed freely this time.

Could the issue be RESISTABLE?

Ah, yes, I've been trying to test it in Arena. Soon as I get a chance, I'll try it with another tag. The creature is [oppessed_to_life] anyhow, so that makes sense. The idea is for the victim to go batshit nuts and kill things.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I want my dwarves to turn into blood-spewing, ill-colored, bloated monstrosities that kill everything in sight. Why doesn't this work? Aside from everything being named synname.

Occasionally, dwarves will vomit blood. That is the only result of this syndrome. It is a trailing vapor flow.

You can add more than one tag with CE_ADD_TAG, you know.

[CE_ADD_TAG:OPPOSED_TO_LIFE:NOT_LIVING:NOPAIN:START:5:PEAK:10:END:5000]

Also, [SYN_IMMUNE_CREATURE:creature:ALL]?

Lol that is a placeholder. Sorry XDXD

Point is, it seems remarkably arbitrary for an unavoidable syndrome. Now they bleed, but don't puke or bruise or swell. I jacked it up to 2000 and they don't do these things.

Does DF just hate multiple symptoms?
