Yah a lot if the stuff we want to see in mods can't be done without df hack.

Like how the poison metals can't make poison sword that only poison on cut.

Oh I just had a thought could you set the frost metal to be woven into cloth, like addy. Then have though dwarfs wear that so they don't burn when they touch the fire metal?

It would make flaming swords a problem (though traps could hold them) but you could work the metal.

This might work. I've experimented with fixed temperature clothing, but I tested it against firebreath and fireballs. Also magma and wildfires. I never tested it for protection against flaming material. Since clothes can stop syndromes from transmitting, it might work here too. Or it might fail, since many fixed temperature objects just don't work as they should, which should be the cause of your ammo not igniting.

I think it would be only fair to notify everyone that I have given up on magic metals because I can't think of enough interesting things to do.  Air metal is light, Earth metal is heavy, Fire metal is ... sharp I guess, Water metal is ... um ... huh. 

So please feel free to carry on where I have left off and get some DF Hack all over it.
