, but I wouldn't recommend reading the rules there too intensely as it may confuse. It is a good place to look for an example of what this game should sorta look like)
As many of you may have noticed, I have a terrible tendency to give up on games after enough tediousness and boredom has crept into them. In order to deal with this, I suggest we keep it fresh, interesting, and try to get as many players as possible up in this beezy. The more, the merrier! The greater support, the greater the tower can loom! And looms produce tapestries! And us Bay12Gamers all love tapestries with an unequaled passion, as you all very well know!
101(i) - "Rules Rule" - Rules
101.A - A Rule must be followed when in effect.
101.B - If two Rules conflict with each other, the Rule with the lowest Ordinal Reference must be followed.
101.C - Subsets
101.C.I - A Subset of a Rule is a Rule that expands on the Parent Rule.
101.C.II - The Ordinal Reference of subsets is set as follows: <whole Ordinal Reference of Parent>.#, where # depends on how many parents the Rule has.
101.C.II.a - If the Rule has 0 Parents, use the regular Ordinal Reference
101.C.II.b - If the Rule has 1 Parent, use an uppercase letter
101.C.II.c - If the Rule has 2 Parents, use a Roman numeral
101.C.II.d - If the Rule has 3 Parents, use a lowercase letter
101.C.II.e - If the Rule has 4 Parents, use a lowercase Roman numeral
101.C.III - As well as being part of the Parent Rule, a Subset is considered a Rule all on its own.
102(i) - "Quick Change" - Amendments
102.A - An Amendment is defined as any change to the Rules due to a ratified Proposition.
102.B - Propositions
102.B.I - A Proposition is any proposed change to the Rules.
102.B.II - Unless otherwise specified, a Proposition must receive a majority vote in order to pass.
102.B.III - A new Proposition will have a number for reference. The Ordinal Reference shall begin with 301, and each Proposition shall receive the next successive integer, whether or not the Proposal is adopted.
102.B.IV - Upon Ratification, an Amendment retains the Ordinal Reference of the Proposition.
103(i) - "Player 2" - Players
103.A - A Player is anyone who actively participates in one of the Phases of the game.
103.B - In order to participate, a Player must always abide by all the Rules currently in effect.
103.C - The Judge
103.C.I - The Judge is responsible for any and all record-keeping of the Rules and Propositions. This includes;
103.C.I.a - Numbering
103.C.I.b - Other Information(proposer, date/time, affected Rules, etc.)
103.C.I.c - Tallying Votes
103.C.I.d - Re-Writing the Rules at the beginning of Phase I.
103.C.II - Tylui is The Judge
104(i) - "Phase Out, Phase In" - Phases
104.A - The game will be conducted by a loop of Turns which are broken down into the following phases;
104.A.I - Phase I - "Proposition"
104.A.I.a - Signifies the beginning of the Turn.
104.A.I.b - A Player may suggest up to four Propositions per turn.
104.A.II - Phase II - "Discussion"
104.A.II.a - Any unclear Propositions will be discussed and redefined.
104.A.II.b - Players will vote either "Yea" or "Nay" on each Proposition.
104.A.III - Phase III - "Execution"
104.A.III.a - The Propositions that pass will become Amendments.
104.A.III.b - The Judge will update all records.
104.B - The Phases will advance whenever the Judge sees fit.
105(i) - "My Kind of Rule" - Rule Types
105.A - Any Rule may be assigned a Type.
105.A.I - The Rule is then governed by the Type's Rules as listed in 105.D.
105.B - The act of Adding, Removing, or Changing a Rule's Type is known as "transmuting".
105.B.I - A Transmutation is treated just the same as an Amendment.
105.B.II - A Transmutation Proposition requires an 80% majority to pass.
105.C - All subsets of a Typed Rule inherit the parent Rule's Types as well.
105.D - The Types
105.D.I - "immutable", "i": This Rule is deemed "immutable"; any Proposition affecting it, with the exception of a Transmutation, must be voted on unanimously in order to pass.
105.D.II - "self-destructor", "!!sd!!"; Upon ratification, this Rule will be followed through with its Rule changes immediately, then will be removed from the Ruleset without removing the changes it invoked.
201 - "The Game that Ends" - The first Player to total 200 points will be announced as the winner.
202 - "Early Bird Special" - The first Player to participate in any Phase on each turn will be awarded 5 extra points.
203 - "Goomba Stomp" - For any Proposition that passes, proposing Player will receive 10 points.
204 - "Goomba Stomp YOU" - For any Proposition that fails, proposing Player will lose 5 points.
205 - "Charity" - At the beginning of the Proposition Phase, the three Players with the fewest points will receive 5 points each.
(Turn 1)
301 - "Misuse, Reuse" - Any Player that posts a Proposition that doesn't pass gets to propose an additional Proposition on the following Proposition Phase.
(Turn 2)
304 - "All In One" - Any Proposition with subsets are to be treated as a single Proposition.
305 - "EARTHBOUND IMMORTAL" - A Player can be nominated to be an EARTHBOUND IMMORTAL. Once nominated, a player becomes an EARTHBOUND IMMORTAL by a majority vote by all current Players.
(Turn 3)
310 - "No Vote means No Vote" - When tallying the votes, only the votes that were given will be counted, and any Players who did not participate have effectively abstained from voting. The majority of support and unanimity of support shall be calculated by only those votes tallied. This rule takes precedence over any conflicting rule.
311 - "Objection!" - Dispute of Rules
311.A - Any difference in opinion of how a Rule or how several Rules should be interpreted can be solved by a Dispute.
311.B - Any Player can call for a Dispute, and if another Player with a differing opinion agrees that one is needed, the following happens in order.
311.B.1 - Play and regular Phase order is paused.
311.B.2 - All parties to the Dispute cite the Rule(s) in question and explain how they themselves would interpret it, listing all relevant occasions of the how the Rule was used previously.
311.B.3 - The Judge will make a decision on how it should hereto and forever be interpreted.
311.B.4 - If the Judge's wisdom is questioned by all parties of the Dispute, a vote for a Repeal is called.
311.B.5.a - The Repeal will be voted on for exactly 24 hours.
311.B.5.b - If the Repeal is supported unanimously, the Judge's decision is revoked, and the Dispute returns to B.2. Otherwise, Dispute continues to B.6.
311.B.6 - If all parties of the Dispute feel that the Rule needs its wording changed to reflect its meaning, the Judge will propose a Rewrite.
311.B.6.a - The Rewrite will be submitted and voted on for exactly 24 hours.
311.B.6.b - If the Rewrite is supported unanimously, the Judge will apply the Rewrite to the Rules.
311.B.6.c - Either pass or fail, the Dispute continues at B.7.
311.B.7 - The Dispute is concluded, and play and regular Phase order is resumed.
311.C - The Judge cannot call or agree to a Dispute.
312 - "Democracy means Points!" - To obtain any points in a round, a player must vote in that round.
318 - "Yellow Card" - Let's make this game a bit more interesting, shall we?
318.A - Should a Player at any time violate a Rule, between one and ten points shall be deducted from their Score, depending on how great a violation was committed. The vast majority of cases should result in a deduction of less than five points.
318.A.I - The Judge shall have the final word regarding Rule 318.A, and shall decide the amount of points to be deducted, if any.
321 - "NAME GIVER" - Name Givers
321.A - There can only be one Name Giver at any one given point.
321.B - If there is no Name Giver, a vote can be called to nominate one.
321.B.I - This vote will last 24 hours.
321.B.II - All Vote Bonuses are negated for the sake of this vote
321.B.III - You cannot vote for yourself.
321.B.IV - The winner of this vote becomes the Name Giver
321.B.V - A tie results in no Name Giver being elected, and the game carries on as normal.
321.C - A Name Giver must give a name to every rule.
321.D - A name giver can step down at any point.
321.D.I - When he/she does, a vote is immediately cast for a new Name Giver.
321.D.I.i - The old Name Giver cannot be re-elected in this way.
321.E - If, after 4 turns, a player wishes for a new Name Giver, there will be a vote.
321.E.I - The Name Giver cannot participate in this vote.
321.E.II - If there is a 2/3 majority that request a new Name Giver, there will be a vote (See subesction D. I.)
(Turn 4)
322 - "Ties are WIN" - When voting, a tie shall be interpreted as a majority of support for the motion.
323 - "All Over Again..." - When the game is won, a new game immediately starts with the same Players and Rules.
324 - "GODDAMN CATS" - If a player fails to post in a Phase, he/she gains a cat. At the end of every turn, players gain kittens equal to the number of cats they have * 1.4, rounded down, and all kittens not created on said Turn turn into cats. If a player posts in all 3 Phases, he/she can slaughter up to 5 cats.
329 - "Extra Extra" - Bonus Votes
329.A - At the beginning of each Turn, every Player is given an additional Bonus Vote.
329.A.I - A Player may use Bonus Votes in any vote that that Player could normally vote on.
329.A.II - A Player may use as many Bonus Votes as they choose, as long as it doesn't exceed the following:
329.A.II.a - The number of Bonus Votes they have.
329.A.II.b - The number of Players that participated in the most recent Discussion Phase, minus 1.
329.A.III - To use a Bonus Vote, a Player must specify they are doing so.
329.A.IV - When tallying a vote's results, any Bonus Votes that were used are immediately removed from the Player's Bonus Vote Count.
(Turn 5)
331 - "Cat Spam" - As soon as a Player reaches 50 cats, a vote must be held on whether to boot him/her from the game. If there is a majority of Yea, the Player is removed from the game immediately. If Nay, his number of cats is dropped to 10 and his kittens to 0.
332 - "Cat Kill" - If a player participates in all 3 phases, then all kittens that would have been created at the end of said turn are killed.
335 - "Pretty Colours..." - All votes for Yea be in green and all for Nay in red.
