Gah, you beat me to it.  Or away from other things like statues, I usually have a statue or three behind my throne.

So of all the things you can do in DF, it's the fractal artifacts that make you think dwarves are crazy.

Never mind the magma falls, the atom smashers, the cog-and-axle turing-complete computers, or the colonizing of Hell itself... all those are fine, but man, those recursive artifacts! Where do they get such ideas?

I dont seem to be able to move the camera around or anything but 10/10 for starting work on this! Epic potential detected! :D

I could also make some textures or something :)

OK, few questions.
1. What size do the plant models need to be? 2563 or what?
2. How do you want the files? Do you want a full model or just one image to use as a texture?
3. If you want a full 3d model, how do you want me to get it to you?

EDIT: I suck at accents. Can someone point me in the direction of a blender tutorial in American English?

search youtube for the username super3boy. It's for the blender 2.4x series, but it's an easy transition. kind of like the captnduck tutorials and DF2010.

1. Currently the scale in DFize is: 1 tile is 13. Scaling of models isn't that important as transformation can be changed in the plant.txt resource file.

2. What kind of model and texture are we talking here?

3. I have setup a project page on Google code. http://code.google.com/p/dfize. I guess that's the best place to store everything. I'm working on getting the source code up there too. I'll probably have it up later this week. If everyone who wants to contribute could post their email address connected to google I can add you as commiters so you can commit to the repository.

Also, there are some great tutorials at www.blender.org.

I'm getting a similar problem. I can move the camera with the mouse, but the keys don't do anything.

Oh, and my email is on the left for the google code page. I'll upload some .OBJs to it.

Try turning off collision, you may be stuck in terrain.

*DOH!* You are correct sir!

I believe the Dwarves list should not be empty? Still all kinds of awesome despite the rather primitive graphics... I may have to try and squeeze in some time to work on DFize related things! :D

I tried the fix from the OP, but no luck.

Ok that gives a little more info. I'll supply the DLL I'm using next release and also a statically linked executable.

Would it be possible to add Adventure mode support? It kinda loads, but spawned the camera below the ground and fell rather quickly. I couldn't figure out how to find my way back up. Perhaps on option on the left where the dwarves list is to snap to the adventurer?

Is there any way to get this to work on 31.12?
