Autism actually is a mental handicap, do you ever read books or go to school?

Not that all of those people were clearly named as having mental handicaps. It's just clear in many cases that they do. That last guy, Chris, is almost certainly suffering from mental retardation.
Do you? A "mentally retarded" person is someone with an IQ under 70. Not someone who has problems with social interaction.

That Chris guy is just a gullible moron who uses autism as an excuse.
I have no comment about your lack of education on this matter. Please do some research.
IQ isn't a scientifically accepted principle in today's world, by the way.

Google mental handicap. See what comes up.

lol wikipedia beat you.

It's pretty clear what he meant, but if we're arguing definitions...

Of course, the wikipedia page 'mental handicap' redirects not to 'mental retardation' as you seem to imply, but to 'developmental disability', which includes autism under its umbrella of possible causes.

Okay, so, today this girl I know-Lauren, just took a sudden dis-interest in talking to me. Is she just on her period or something?

My class notes put <70 as the threshold of mental retardation as well. Serious retardation is under <50, though.

pediatrics. Checking the psychiatry handbook now.
Edit: psychiatry handbook has no directly relevant section, but it does remark in a section about something else, that <70 is the threshold.

Just because you have an IQ higher than 70 doesn't mean you don't have mental problem.  I mean, savants can have IQs much higher than average and still struggle in day to day life.
