Your English hurts me a little bit to read, but....
1. Thanks for your insight into butchery, ill have to look into this more since I don't use it much.
2. I really wouldn't call taking a raw material and making something out of it an exploit... really. it is not an amazing concept as you make it sound

YO fed  this thread is a great idea and if you clean it up a bit it could become a very popular reference point.

You can, of course, simply divert the river through your dining hall, if you want to take the easy way out.

PROTIP
-Always remember that fortifications can slow liquid flow without blocking out the liquid.
-Thanks to recent adjustments, most weapons are at least mildly useful. A whip to the head can break a skull. Try to have some variety with your military.
-Killing anything helps train weapon skills. So remember to keep all the wild animals dead.
-Deconstruction of trade deports will give you everything that the traders had. However, it does lower relationships a bit. Its rather useful at the start of the game.
- Miners make great army men.

ADVENTURE TIP
-Look for friendly animal men while exploring the caverns. The won't care if you take some of their food, and they make great meat shields.
- Try to start with 2 points in swimming (or more). This can be a life saver in caverns.

The learning curve of the df forums should be equal to that of df itself.

Thanks for correcting me all.
I get right down to work, with a little different approach.
