OK so i decided to try to host a 1 hour succession game. But due to massive confusion and real life problems it never really started.
However I do have everything sorted out now so it should run smooooothly.

I have looked around and played some succession games.
While playing is fun. There is little reason to follow a thread after you have finished excpet to see how you screwed over somebody else.
Even if your down for another go it will usually 2 months for your 2nd go.

What I am proposing is a succesion where you get 1 hour for your entire go.
We will organise it so everybody knows when to be on. This will not be a half-baked idea. It will be done to the T.

Anyway, if we will start at midnight and not at midday (as first try), then I would like to be assigned turn 4-7. As for location, the harsher the better, but not freezing, and preferrably with volcano
And I would REALLY prefer playing 31.10.

40d doesn't have magma pipes does it? I never found one. Plus the marksdwarf is broken. Or has it been fixed. But sure i'll put you 4th.

I'm sure you meant 31.10; volcanoes are very rare in default worlds, but can be increased up to 200 in custom worlds; also, marksdwarves were fixed.

Sure, Also daruish could you generate a map for me with volcanoes. I don't really understand all that gibberish. Also try to make lots of goblins and haunted place  Lets be dwarven about this.

Just increase maximum numbers of volcanoes in parameters. Other than that, I don't have a clue how that works either

Ok I've got the hang of it. Sorta it took 55 rejected regions beofre it properly started and then it took reeeaaaaly long because i chose a large region.

I'll take the 2:30am slot since I appear to have lost the ability of a Normal Sleeping Pattern.

I'll take the 17:30 slot, unless we end up on the weekend. I've work all this week. I've got perfectworld. I'll make a world. Lots of volcano, and evil.

sure I'll put you in but I don't think that we have enough people to get to 17:30 Maybe we can just open it up to anybody on the night. Thanks that'll be awesome.

Maybe we should just loop existing people? (Of course, some players' turns should be placed closer together, but with a minimum of two turns between the turns of the same player)

And I'm new to succesion games, so one question.

How do we give what we did back out? Do we upload it on dffd and post it here?

To upload your save you go into the folder that contains all off dwarf fortress information. Eg Wherever you installed it to. Go in to "Data" and then "saves" and then upload the region you where playing on.
Also its tonight. In 1 hours time.
