I KNEW THAT WE WOULDN'T LOSE!!!

This is the best thing I've seen on these forums ever. I can't wait for the next thing you do, and I'm going to be looking out for it.

there were some pretty awesome things several years ago. But this is probably the most awesome thing on the boards since before the whole VN thing

Armok, give VN a rest. Its annoying.

But otherwise, I found this story quite captivating.

I'm not condoning it, i'm just using it as an arbitrary time marker that's easily remembered. and happened roughly at the same time as several changes in the social structure of the forums.

VN?

Various Nonsense, I think. It's what we had before the Finally section of the forum. Toady deleted it for some reason. Not sure why, as I wasn't here when it went down.

He deleted it because of two reasons.

A: after spliting the finally section into creative projects, general discussion, life advice, and forum games & roleplay, VN had very little reason to exist as the other catagories were more appropriate places to start topics. It was deemed the others were sufficient for any topic that could arise.

B: VN was often used as a spam dump, anything people could think of could be thrown into there haphazardly, and at the time this caused a largely unruly attitude to arise from the userbase.

So apparently I exceeded my Photobucket bandwidth! That wasn't ever really something I expected to be an issue, but apparently my images were getting a thousand views a day by the climax, so in hindsight I should have thought about that a bit prior to hosting everything on one account. Been very busy this week with life stuff but chalk that up on my list of things to do, along with making this adventure into either a simple little pdf or hosting it somewhere (maybe both? who knows). Anyone interested in reading the adventure but can't right now due to image fuckery... hang in there!

Meanwhiles, here's some bonus art of the AuxBot under-the-hood design.

Giving this a gentle love-bump now that the images are back up, since I know there were some people who wanted to read this but couldn't thanks to Photobucket being a right prick.

In other news, I think I'm going to start a very simple, silly game up soon with no starting nor developing plot, just to dick around and doodle while I finish off my school workload / develop my next 'real' game, so you might see a thread for that come up in the next few days.

Tribute To Retro.

He will be missed.

I was thinking more along the lines of this legendary champion, all clad in dented and dinged up steel plate, his blood-drenched axe slung over his back, a notch in the handle for every enemy that saw the swing of that blade as the last sight they ever saw, a battered shield strapped over his arm... and a fluffy, pink stuffed hippo hidden discretely in his breastplate.
