Make some other expression of great grief and sadness.
Remove hat and place it over our chest. Stare down at our feet and mourn the death of the great occuloid.

You draw an expression of your great grief and sadness, then hold your hat to your chest in mourning.

Righto, time to get a move on. Lieutenant Skree! To the spaceship we go!

Make a mad dash towards the orb thing, prepare yourself for badass combat.

You hurry off to the spaceship access room, sword at the ready. Nobody here. Hm. Perhaps inside.

You enter the spaceship sword first, nerves on edge. Skree follows placidly.

Huh. Nobody here. Then why did you get that weird signal-sort of thing—

“Ah, there you are. Hello, robot.”

good grief somebody is watching you

Well, I'd say act like you're not the robot he's looking for but who's going to believe another robot would be wearing that ridiculous hat, wielding that ridiculous sword and keeping such a ridiculous henchman.

So, instead, embrace the moment:

Stab sword into the ground and pick up Skree and pet him while you listen to the disembodied glasses.  Act like you're not surprised, and that maybe somebody even more nefarious was the one that reprogrammed you, or maybe that you've been this way all along and that while he's revealing something shocking to you, you could just as easily reveal something even more shocking to him.

embrace the moment

You do your best to act casual, opting to bluff that none of this is unusual to you. You casually pick up Skree and give him a rub. You greet the voice with a hello.

“Interesting. Yes, you’re definitely the one I’ve been looking for.”

You are a little bit freaked out by that but you try to stay relaxed. You ask what the voice wants with you.

“You will come to the dock directly.”

The display reverts back to static. You feel oddly compelled to follow the command.

There is only one place that ‘the dock’ could be. You approach the volcanic cavern nervously. Skree does not want to come in; it’s too hot inside.

You step inside, sword drawn. At the far end of the dock is a cylinder sticking out of the magma, with an open hatch.

Gentleman is here.

Keep very great distance from him. Ask what he wants, and as conversation ensues, be totally ready for him to charge you at unbelievably high speeds, who knows what he could do as is. Also, calibrate yourself for self defense, with a main focus being the gears in his body. Do not attack until he begins attacking. His offense will leave gaps in his defense.

Ask the Gentleman what he is doing there. Tell him that the oculoid has been dealt with as per protocol.

Tell him that another robot has returned us to full functionality, and
that the oculoid has been dealt with as per protocol.

> PUSH GENTLEMAN INTO THE MAGMA BEFORE HE SEES YOU!

He called us here and is staring straight at us.  That isn't really an option.

So my crundles are staying intact unless they're newly spawned... until they are exposed to anything that isn't at room temperature.  This mostly seems to mean blood, specifically, their own.  Then they go poof very quickly.

Tell Gentleman the hours since we last saw him have not been kind to him.

We pushed him into a acidic soap, that is why he looks like that.

We can not simply attack him, but we should position ourselves tactically so we have the same advantage as he has. He is right next to the lava, rushing and attacking him will result in us having a lot of forward momentum... we would likely miss him and fall into the lava/magma behind him.

We has likely already seen us, considering hes a robot. We should walk slowly into a good position.. parallel to his own next to the lava, carefully.

I was thinking more along the lines of this legendary champion, all clad in dented and dinged up steel plate, his blood-drenched axe slung over his back, a notch in the handle for every enemy that saw the swing of that blade as the last sight they ever saw, a battered shield strapped over his arm... and a fluffy, pink stuffed hippo hidden discretely in his breastplate.
