UrisMcsoldier2: It looks like a piece of wooden log.
UristMcsoldier3: There's blood gushing out!
UrisMcsoldier1: Wait wood doesn't bleed.
UristMccaptain: Take cover they're throwing bodyparts at us!

There's a trail of floating blood smears in one of my caverns where I caved in an area before I made sure the dwarves were out of the section I was going to drop. It's caused a bit of a glitch in building fortifications below it. Oh well!
