Anyone got a good grasp of the chat feature? I think I managed to join an Empire chat channel, but I don't see my own messages and nobody responds to me.

I made a flag and hopefully, I will find coal somewhere and start a city in the b12 planet. At least that's what was needed when I was on the livestream. =p

Wow, just wow!! This game is everything I wanted Spore to be, minus the mini-games and creature/building/vehicule editor... oh wait, that's all Spore has to offer  :o

I tried to join Planepacked, but it didn't let me: said the empire had no city  ??? So I started my own little monarchy. Here's what it currently looks like

I will try to join Planepacked again eventually. Although I might wait until there's spaceships available.

Resources show up when using top view mode, the white blocks represent stone.

Looking good, ~350 people, pretty well every structure built. Keep running low on textiles and oil tho :\

Anyone managed to go anywhere on the motorbike? I was able to get on/off fine and turn in place, but "W" did nothing... tried "S" too... am I supposed to put gasoline in myself? How would I even do that??

Haven't tried the SUV yet, don't have the artillery to build a tank or APC :(

That's so orderly alex... mine just HAPPENED :)

Also, as mentioned before, the resources displayed can be changed with \ and | (shift+\). There's a setting that shows all natural resources except stone.

Aargh. I had a cool city with several oil wells, crystal mines, several metal apartments and condos (tier 16), couple hundred citizens, a huge farm area supplying food. I had metal, plastics, computer parts, a capital building, computers. I was about to build a rocket and try that part of the game.

Suddenly I crash. I log back in and somehow I've become a citizen of another empire? Huh? Whered my empire go? I'm still the same appearance and race and stuff, I've just suddenly become a citizen of somewhere else. It won't let me build anything or do anything (I'm still on my homeworld) and I'm now just a regular citizen.

So I try to leave and rejoin my old empire. It sends me to another random empire. Try again, same result. Random empires. With that not working, I try to use the create an empire thing to see if I can get back in by creating another empire with the same name. Crash. Now I can't log back in, it just drops back to desktop each time.

Whered my city go?  >:(

I wonder if I'll be able to log in and regain my empire eventually, or if I should just make a new char and start over. Now that I know what resources need what I can at least do the city building quicker...

This game is what spore should of been, not that baby crap. Anyhoo, it looks awesome, imma downloading now.


Edit: I wouldn't mind making some videos if I have some spare time (and the game works)

If I was conquered that would be rather quick haha. I just started like 3 hours ago. Quickly built up a city and had just set it as my capital like 30 minutes ago.

Never got any message or anything. I just suddenly crashed out and that happened when I logged back in. Looking in messages didnt say anything either.
