I haven't played a Game Maker game in ages... looks pretty awesome though.  Some things you may want to do:
  • You can move off the edges of the screen.
  • Do he soldiers ever shoot back?  Need a hazard/challenge of some sort.
  • A menu and help screen would be great.  Easiest way is probably a large image and the splash-screen functions for the help, and button objects for the menu....
You probably know about at least one of those, but I figured I'd try to be constructive :P

On the Wall is a Masterfully engraved carving of Urist McHardcastle and Goblins. Urist McHardcastle is surrounded by the Goblins. The Golbins are stamping on Urist McHardcastle. Urist McHardcaste is laughing at the Goblins. The carving related to the prolonged and bloody death of Urist McHardcastle in the Fall of 1659, the Winter of 1659, and the Spring of 1660. On the engraving is an image of Cheese.

I actually know about all of them but I wanted to include something playable since just a screenshot would be boring

In fact this is actually a remake of a game that I was working on before, but a virus nuked the hard drive it was on.

Here's a video of what it was like (with the cheat mode turned on ;) )

Edit:
New version, now with more stuff exploding

Added two new explosion effects
Added enemy tank with spawner
Added flak emplacement
Enemies now shoot
You can no longer fly through the ground

Lol, the style's very similar to a certain girl I knew when I first started making games. With the blood and exact same explosion style and meaningless slaughter of tiny guys, who are drawn the same way too. Are you people getting inspiration by someone?

Anyway, I love these kinds of games. Maybe it's a developed taste, but I guess I just love watching little dots blow up. There's like some beautiful high-res detail in them that you don't get from the clunky polygons these days.

Thanks, also NEW VERSION

Not much has changed in this version

You can die now, oh and the right mouse button fires a machine gun.

You can get your health back by killing stuff and blowing up buildings

Your weapons start failing if your health drops below 25% the machine gun will never fail

Also, you should consider updating the link in the first post.

I have no clue what you mean by "cool, watching"

And I guess I should start updating my first post.

Also I gathered all the projects I was working on before the hard drive with the projects on them got nuked by a virus.
http://www.yoyogames.com/games/134142-junk-pack
All these games are buggy and unfinished* and are just here so people can see what I "WAS" working on.

Note: Somebody on another forum was confused about this but to continue in Ned1 just move to the right.

*except for Ned's Big Adventure, it's a buggy piece of s!$% but it is a complete game.

Got a new version coming up soon but for now here's a preview of some of the new stuff.

And now just for fun(and to show off how much better I am at drawing ;D ) here's the new tank sprite next to the old one.

This is entrancing and, on top of that, pretty cool. Where are you planning to take it?

Well let me see.

This is going to be a strategy game where the player focuses on base management and special power deployment.
The units act on their own and there are two types of units planned at the moment (there may be more, any ideas?) attackers and scouts.
Attackers hunt down and try to kill enemy units.
Scouts on the other hand go after unclaimed territory and if there is none they'll target enemy territory to claim.

There are also three types of buildings
Spawn, special and defensive

A spawn building creates new units at a steady rate and is destroyed if the tile they're built on is claimed by an enemy.

Special types behave like a spawn type in terms of destruction but they each a unique purpose.

A defensive building will attack enemy units and will actually prevent the tile they're on from being claimed until they are destroyed.

There will be one resource type and you gain it by holding territory.
You can gain more by constructing certain types of special buildings.

And that's all I feel like saying for now.

Oh and here's a newer demonstration with a new explosion and a square attack type added.

Wel, i downloaded the second demonstration.

And honestly...

FEAR THE WAR MACHINES! (As I call the most recent attack type)

I'm sure if green didn't have more troops, they would have been screwed.

I thought about waiting until you could build bases but I decided to post another demo because of how long it's taking

-Changes-

-Circle dreadnought added
-Circle Grunt
-Square grunt added
-New laser effect
-Started work on the interface
-The battle field is bigger and you can scroll by moving the mouse to the edge of the screen.
-Pressing [R] will restart the battle
