I don't know about humans, but killing elf traders does not seem to affect their friendly feelings towards you cause they keep coming even after killing all of their merchants for the last 6 years >.>

Please stop perpetuating this nonsense - killing elves makes them bring fewer goods, full stop. If you want them to bring more goods, then you give them more profit.

If, for some reason, you are still playing 40d, then start making your own cloth and maybe they'll stop trying to bring so much of their own cloth.
