For EACH AND EVERY FORTRESS in this thread, I request a Technically Immortal Axedwarf named Derm with a profession of Soulchopper.

Whenever he dies, the next military leader is granted his name and title, like a passing of the torch.

Anybody who joins MY army is going to die a horrible, slow and painful death at some point.
Anyway, I don't have enough dwarves for a military yet so you'll have to wait for the next wave.

Sounds like fun. The site's quite a bit bigger than I usually play, so I may have to drop out because of FPS, but I'll give it a try. I fail at reading. Somehow I thought this was a 4x6. I'm definitely in.

Dying (ceasing to be alive) is also not a Moodable skill. Even totally unskilled Dwarves seem to do it correctly.

Starting now. I don't want to deal with marching up that volcano when I want magma, but I've never done a cistern before. So... if you want a miner in Biag-Windcrested, expect them to die. It'll be easier if you don't get attached. :P

Phase 1 of the cistern- a small pool on a crest in the hill- is completed. Now to build the magmaducts!

Also, I've got a miner, a mason, a carpenter/surgeon, a farmer, and a crafter up for grabs.

I'm still here. I'll start in a bit. Still impressed with the spot.
EDIT: Here goes. NOTE: I use dfhack on the legal functions, like prospector and vein making.

All right, I'll give this a shot. By the way, should we play for a specific amount of in-game time before stopping and waiting for the first queen's order, or what? And how will deadlines for the orders work?

I was literally just about to ask this. I've just entered my first winter, so it's a rather pressing question in my case, as a yearly cycle seems most likely.

I just got my first artifact, and it's a tribute to Her Majesty:

On the item is an image of Weatheredglimmers the Castle of Naming the mule leather shield in orthoclase.

I didn't know artifacts could be recursive.  :o

Look up planepacked.

That there is a recursive eldritch limestone statue.

Also, how often will orders be given? I'll only be able to play on Fridays through Sundays.
Also, LMAO at the artifact. Her majesty and itself are on it!
