They're dwarves. Throwing a party is actually a break from their everyday party. Which often involves melting, mysteriously disappearing from existence, or large animals.

I think miners just keep digging and don't actually realise that they've put a pick through the head of someone/thing. They're dwarves, after all.

Gro Heargkearisj, Fisherman cancels Drink: Seeking Infant.
Maustrix Erithrikcosjir, Hatchling has died after colliding with an obstacle.

Though I imagine this didn't exactly happen all in the same moment, by the time I saw the full log it certainly looked like it did. 

See? Drinking is bad for mothers, that egg rolled out of the nest and fell out the window while she was too busy enjoying her booze.

Mmmh... probably not. The only raw editing I made back on those days was usually for making GCS fertiles...
