Hmmm, it might refer to ash trees? I think they have those little flying helicopter seed thingies. I could be wrong, though.

Maybe that indicates that she will go insane quite easily.

Edit: Nope, Nyxalinth is right. Ash seeds are also called keys as Wikipedia just taught me.

Ash trees.

Code: [Select]
$ grep -Hn "flying keys" $(ls)
plant_standard.txt:1174: [PREFSTRING:flying keys]

Some Wikipedia-fu reveals that Ash trees have "helicopter" seeds, those nifty seeds that twirl to the ground on one wing, which are also known as keys.

The seeds, popularly known as keys or helicopter seeds, are a type of fruit known as a samara.

From there it is easy to see this preference: This dwarf enjoys watching the flying seeds fall of Ash trees fly to the ground.

Someone needs to make a creature with no relation whatsoever to the tree, based entirely on the prefstring.

Heh, she's a spear dwarf?

Quote
The tree's common English name, Ash, goes back to the Old English ęsc, while the generic name originated in Latin. Both words also meant "spear" in their respective languages.

it's even lower than the fluffy wambler,
