You should make worms megabeasts so they attack in worldgen.

I think I'll have vehicles as megabeasts: Heavy Ornithopters, an occasional tank that survives the desert...

How will those work? i cant see how their bodies would work and they'd mess up legends and adventure quests.

the game will work without megabeasts.

If it is possible to make them work as creatures then they could replace ogres or trolls so they are brought with siegers.

How I was thinking, is basically a near impenetrable steel body, except with lasguns, which will be very expensive to make, and a glass cockpit that can be shattered, with a "controller" body part inside that can only be reached through the cockpit. They would mess up legends, but they can be ignored, and the adventure quests could well be interpreted as taking out a vehicle that belongs to a rogue smuggler gang, or something of the sort.

But why not have them as part of invading armies then? it would make a lot more sense than lone vehicles and would add variety to the sieges.
