Unicorn murdered the Elven Civilization Leader

I was playing an adventure mode game with the latest DF, when I decided it would be fun to go an assassinate the leader of one of the elven civilizations to see what would happen.Shortly after I got there and when I was looking around for the proper elf to kill, I suddenly get battle message including the elven leader.  Turns out she is fighting a Unicorn, and well, the Unicorn managed to kill the leader before I could get to her.      
   This all seemed rather odd to me considering the nature of Elves and Unicorns, but I found it amusing never the less; it's probably a bug though.Edit:Here is the actual battle log between the two elves and the Unicorn for those interested.

The "at peace with wildlife" property of the elves does not extend to the wildlife itself. It's a kind of one-sided peace, heh.
In this sense, elves make lousy adventurer companions.

Hi!Well, it doesn't really surprise me. Unicorns are the reason I stopped building fortresses in serene locations. They may not be as big as elephants, but they are among the nastiest murderous monsters that casually wander the land. At least in my opinion.Deathworks

Having traveled with elves, I think what makes them lousy companions are their crappy wooden weapons.  :)
