It seems the Battlefailed tradition of RL business during turns has continued here. Next update will probably be tomorrow.

Just finished reading the original Battlefailed. I can feel this is gonna be epic.

So are you gonna make a habit of killing a god at the beginning of every new Battlefailed? Just make sure you don't run out of them :D

btw, I'd like to be dorfed too: any dwarf with Diagnostician skills (Chief Medical Dorf) or a Bookkeeper.
Maybe I'll take a turn too, sometime, but a combination of RL and inexperience (though the latter won't be noticed anyway by that time) prevents me from jumping on the sinking ship right now.

I finally got some time to finish up the year.

20th Obsidian

We are preparing to move the meeting area further underground. I found a schematic for a waterfall-based misting device and am having the parts for the pumps made now. There will be one change to the design - the gear assemblies will be suspended between the pumps and over the channels. A slightly less efficient design, but we still only need two windmills.

(Note: There are four holes on the surface for the windmills to connect with the gears - choose two and floor over the others)

1st Granite, 517

We've been here for a full year and haven't seen much excitement. Just undead horses and one dwarf too dumb to live. I'm entrusting the fortress to Mekboy and retiring. I'll be in the lower levels.

Well, the previous Battlefailed seemed to be a barrel full of Fun, so this one will probably descend into hilarity preety soon.

I'd like to claim a dorf. A glassworker. Gor if male, Moxie if female. His/hers dream is to either build a hospital out of glass for a clean and sterile enviroment where dorfs can heal in peace, either a very tall glass tower, in honor of Battlefailed.

I'd also like to be dwarfinated. Call him/her Vee.

I don't really mind what profession I have, as long as it's dangerous, with high risks of bodily harm (that doesn't really narrow it down, I suppose). If we can give personalities, then my dwarf has an obsessive complsive disorder for cleaning.

Hmm, when reading the original Battlefailed I was kind of dissapointed.
You guys had a fortress next to an ocean and no-one even tried turning the ocean into an obsidian fortress? How dare you call yourselves dwarves!

Water+magma = obsidian. Doesn't matter what type of water.

Slight problem here. I'm trying to make the mist generator work by adding the water, but whenever a dwarf goes to fill it he picks up the bucket then claims that there's no water source. I've set one of the outside ponds as a water source, so is there any reason for this?
