Wagons get stuck in walls trying to escape
« on: December 01, 2007, 05:20:00 pm »

I built a depot outside, rewalled around it except for 3 spaces to get in, then waited for the humans to arrive. When they did, I rewalled the 3 spaces so they had no way out and turned on a pump to flood it with water.

The guards and wagonless donkeys drowned no problem. The wagons, however, tried to escape and the humans/donkeys attached to them somehow got jammed into a wall where they are safe from drowning. I suspect they were spamming pathfinding errors too because my FPS tanked.

I got the 'merchants will be leaving soon' and 'Merchants have departed' messages like normal, and the merchants (still being locked in the room) didn't move. They also didn't seem to go insane, lasting well into autumn past when the dwarven traders came before I finally removed the walls they were stuck in, after which they zoomed off the map.

Sorry I didn't think to take a screenshot or make a savegame, but if you think it will help I can do either of them if it happens again.
