Biblical angels, as literally described are less beautiful androgynus models with wings and more procedural dwarf fortress beasts or Evangelion like. There is one that is described basically as just eyes, everywhere.

So here they were suggesting doing a creature that is ears instead of eyes.

Satan is never described, but is given titles that both insinuate his beauty and his inherent evil.

Naturally this is too complicated and harder to use this to control human populations, so it got changed to all the good guys are hot lady angels with wings and the devil is hairy and ugly and wants to stab you with forks.
