I thought Farfetch'd was so kickass back when I was playing Blue. A bird... armed with a vegetable.

I also had it learn Cut so my other pokémon wouldn't have to waste a slot on that. Farfetch'd was my utitility pokémon.

Not that doduo wouldn't be cool, too. Although I'm not sure how a flightless bird is a flying type in the first place.

Considering pokemon like Tyranitar or FUCKING SLAKING can learn aerial ace, Flying is not too discriminating a type. It's the village bicycle.
