Best Elephant trap config?

What is the best trap config for Elephants? I want a breeding pair so I can stop worrying about food. More time for getting booze.

They cant actually breed inside cages, but pregnant females will carry the babies to term and give birth in the cage.

best thing about elephants is the whole herd will sort of stand around if one of them get trapped.  I find it very effective to just plain old build out half a dozen traps right next to each other in a rectangle.  They usually all get filled up at once as soon as one gets caged.  As mentioned you can't keep them in cages but they will still breed if you chain them up.

They also make great war animals once tamed.

If you have a river on your map, any of the kinds that can't be crossed by walkers, just put a few cage traps at whatever bridge you build over it, you'll get them.  There are more complex approaches with a big cross of walls and a large number of cages but if you have a natural choke point it makes it very easy.

I've also noticed that elephants will almost always come towards my fortress entrance.  I dunno if there is some kind of [CURIOUS] flag on them now or what.  I've even discovered wild elephants that had walked into my weapons traps located inside the front door.  A few traps near the fort entrance is usually all I need if there are elephants on the map and I'll be elbows-deep in elephants before I know.

An easy way to trap elephants is to remove all ramps except for one. Lay a huge row of cage traps.
Watch as traveling elephants get trapped.
