How do I find slade Circuses? *Spoilers*

I would like to embark on a demonic fortress.
Anybody know how to find 'em without trial and error?

Only demonic area i know of is the hell zone.

Never found out any way to determine before embark if a region contains a demon fortress or not...
only afterwards, with the help of your bookkeeper

I think toady should add a way to see these things when choosing a site location.  Somebody should make a tool...

You can search for a demonic fortress in a region by dividing it into quadrants and embarking on each individually and checking for the masterwork item in your stocks, then kill the DF process. Divide the quadrant you find it in into quadrants and embark again. Lather, rinse, repeat, until you've pinpointed your location.

You can skip the second division by simply zooming to the item in question, which will let you determine which embark tile it's in.

I haven't tried it myself, but can't you embark on a 16x16 area (terrible, I know), use DFReveal and quit afterwards?

You don't even need to reveal, just zoom to its location from the stocks screen or room list.
