Is there a way, and if so how, to enter the caverns in Adventure mode without makeing a fortress beforehand? If so do I get to meet Forgotten beasts? How about cavern civs?

Find a cave, simple as. Most quests leaders give you involve finding a cave. Although they can be well hidden.

Ah, thank you. I want to, eventuilly, have an adventurer who goes down into the caverns, kills several tribes, kills some forgotten beasts, then just retires(if possible) in a Batman group, or just dies of starvation.

Another question since I don't want to make another thread. Is there anyway to make it so I get more points in the charactor creation menu?

Other than modding in points (I imagine someone knows how to do it) probably not.

Enabling show caves makes it easier, I have circumnavigated the caverns between two caves by luck and guesswork, and referring to the overland map to see my relative position to my objective exit cave

Be warned that when traveling through caves, you will "forget" the layout of caverns outside of the embark tile the entrance is located in, since they're not part of a site and therefore not saved.

Yeah, I forgot the layout of the cavern I entered that it took me three days (three adventure mode days) to get out with my customed angel adventurer cladded in steel (too bad because I really wanted it to be cladded in rose gold, for its color  :) )

Eh. It's not so bad, just find covered places to sleep. Somewhere with only one or two entrance tiles (preferably two). That includes the third dimension; I've been ambushed by horrors from above and below. Hungry heads and the like. In other words, sleep in narrow, enclosed tunnels when you get drowsy.

Secondly, bring a metric fuckton of food and booze. I suggest starting a fortress just to build up the supply in lead barrels for yourself. I don't think food spoils in your backpack, but I'm not sure. I think it does during retirement, though. In 31.12 I had a goblin adventurer who wandered the caverns for easily 10 hours of playtime, if not more, before I got upset and found the next exit out to retire and start a drill fort right down to the HFS.

Just enable Visible Caves in the parameters to find them easier, to get more points in character creation you can use a memory editor such as Cheat Engine.

I glitched my way in once, via the bug that let you strangle things many Z-levels down in places. I kept stabbing them with my spear and it eventually teleported me into the caverns.

That was in .14 though so I'm not sure it would still work.
