So i was wandering around, looking for zombies or something. When the game lagged something fierce. When it came to, my status was "flying" and I was suddenly dead. Looking at the log revealed the following...

The warthog kill had happened a game day prior... and i had JUST exited fast travel.
I could see the ground, and then there was nothing.

I guess it must be like those wacky embark locations that collapse straight into hell upon loading.  Don't think I've heard of anyone getting them in adv. mode before.

That sounds like you materialized inside a wall or something from fast travel. Maybe it's a problem with the new sprawl feature?

Being able to be killed by the backlash of your own ill-advised attack doesn't make you a god, it makes you a minmaxer.

I once flung a migrant off a bridge. He collided with the brook cliff and died.
A year later, my legendary engraver engraved him colliding with an obstacle and dying.

Anyway, I'm going to go with the collapsing map theory.  Were you able to see the area when it happened?
