The "Leave" vote is presently winning in the EU in/out referendum in 't UK. A difference of a half-million folk, 170 results to declare, but hey, it'll be interesting if it happens. 'specially if the majority Scotland voted to stay...

Gentrification is when you either try to "Uplift" an entire area so to speak.

Though I know why you are confusing it. Since a common strategy with Gentrification is to "Uplift" poor areas in order to force the poorer people out the area by skyrocketing house prices (sometimes even causing both the Gentrified area AND the poor neighborhoods to die mutually)
