Yet again, someone or something has deposited unwrapped confectionary on an upstairs windowsill of our house. This time, it was fragments of a hollow chocolate figure.

If these are birds, they are strangely ritualistic ones.

Try setting up a camera in order to finally figure out what’s going on. That may be a tad unrealistic but it’s worth suggesting.

Meanwhile in Australia, it'll be 41C on Saturday. That's 105F.

Mostly enjoying the summer. The 50C/122F summer, as it is every year.

Except this year, I think it only hit 50 for a few days instead of every day. It's a very strange summer. I blame global climate change.

Yep, there's a difference between kids thinking something is funny and having coordinated product marketing around it. The point is, this Christmas, poop toys (that even have a logo that looks like the poop emoji) are a hot item that marketers are selling.

"Kids have always found poop amusing" is tangential. These toys are new.

For example, "Poopeez" is a youtube cartoon. When did the show start? October 31st. When did they have toys ready to sell? November. The entire franchise only existed 7 weeks before Christmas? That's not how people normally do things, which indicates that the entire thing is a cynical rush job to cash in on some unexpected trend before the Christmas shopping period. It was definitely because of the "poop emoji".

That and kids find the idea & word of poo amusing but actual poo revolting. Usually on the rare occasion when they buy simulated poo it's to torment another kid with it, not whatever this is

Prozac is helping (though it sometimes gives me minor panic attacks) but fluoxetine either makes me severely more anxious or a feeling of distance from my face e.g. distorted prioperception (spelled that wrong I think.) Which is oddly not on its list of side effects last I checked.

mildly disappointing this wasn't some kind of appropriately themed medical term instead of conscript being misspelled

Um, fluoxtene is the chemical name and Prozac is the generic name of the same thing. Saying that it's helping and at the same time making you more anxious seems contradictory since it's supposed to help with anxiety.

There may also be a bit of a placebo/nocebo effect here, dunno.
