Aren't any of you guys worried about encouraging him? I understand that it takes some time to get addicted (or develop a psychological dependency) to drugs, but the fact that hans is craving them this badly implies that he's going to cross that line soon. Sadly I have no idea how to help him myself.

No, it means cocaine is addictive and even the smell of it can cause a longing.  Kind of like cigarettes can do.  I still crave a camel or marboro every now and then when I think of it or smell it . . .

I think making the subject taboo on the grounds that 'the victim may relapse' is kind of like not saying a word like 'peaches' because everyone who thinks they look like succulent buttocks could think of it and be offended.

Hans has already decided if he is going to fist out his monies for the stuff.  And truth be told, you want him to prepare for it if he is going to do it,m because the cheap shit is worse for you than the good stuff, and every asshole on the street is going to carry the cheap stuff.

Oh, we must not have met. I'm Hans the mostly recovered addict. I haven't done hard drugs in... Awhile. I couldn't get coke even if I seriously intended to, which I don't. I have responsibilities, and drugs are expensive. I just miss cocaine real bad.

That said, don't do drugs people, they're highly dangerous and very fucking expensive.

SD Gundam G Generation, again. I was trawling through the pilot scouting list for someone to replace the starting warship guest I was using as filler/cannonfodder in some random mech for my new space (pirate)ship.
One of the better pilots that was available in my price range happened to be named Descartes Shaman and, welp.

The D has been put inside a Hyaku Shiki, i.e. wrapped in gold. Now it's going to shoot at things~

...a while back, and after getting a salve to help out I decided to idly read the actual contents of the tube. The active ingredient was listed as "cinkokainhydroklorid", with kokain of course being the Norwegian word for cocaine.

At first I thought "hurr hurr, I'm rubbing cocaine on my butt", but then I got curious and decided to check out what the stuff actually is.

It's described as "among the most potent and toxic of topical anesthetics, current use of cinchocaine (English word) is generally restricted to spinal and topical anesthesia". It's also a component in a drug used for euthanasia of horses and cattle.

So, yeah. Fun stuff! Feeling much better now.
