I'm onto episode three of this dark, bizarre show called Flowers, with Julian Barratt of Mighty Boosh fame. It's... certainly interesting! I think I might cringe myself into an early grave at this rate, though.

Damn, dude. I thought this show was just an offbeat, dark comedy, but it is actually fucking me up. I mean, entertaining me. A great deal.
But also it's pretty deep, dark and, well, fucked up.


Also it turns out I broke my collarbone. Whoops.
Only a minor break though, at least. Just the tip. Yes, "just the tip" is how the break was described. The jokes pretty much tell themselves.

The shoulder end or the part that helps keep your breathing hole open?

Presumably the shoulder part, as he was mentioning symptoms primarily related to shoulder pain and not so much related to dead.

A lot of people mistake hairline fractures for sprains/other minor injuries.  possible.

I'm not sure what a sprained shoulder feels like or how the sensation differs from my current pain, and hopefully I won't gain the firsthand experience necessary to compare the two any time soon.   
Especially since, you know, this broken collarbone thing is bad enough already.

Total cost was over 4k for both eyes +incidental costs for eye drops for the next several months.
Got the procedure done about 3 days ago. You can be out and about by the second day, but the first day you're out b/c of the xanax they give you.

Had nearsightedness/glasses since elementary school and being able to see reasonably clearly now is a kind of life gamechanger that really hasn't set in for me yet.

Still dealing with some light sensitivity and glowy halo effects around lights, but they say that'll go away in time.

The procedure itself was short and painless, with a turnaround of about 10 minutes. They numb out your eyeballs, so all you got to do is stare at the blinking light while you smell the goo being burned off your cornea. The pre-screening was much longer.
