Considering the symbol she'd inscribed to protect the bar we were in ended up actually being an offensive spell of chilling and mental fog, I'm considering the possibility that she's just incompetent.

In addition to the symbol, the piece of paper also included text saying "There exists more than you can know", signed with what I can only assume was a tumblr handle.

The text was in Norwegian, and the bartender she'd handed it to (or would've handed it to, were she not sitting at a table away from the bar and apparently too drunk/lazy to stand. I had to be the middleman in giving this doodle sheet to the poor fucker working that night) is English, so he asked me if I could translate for him. I did, which earned me a very confused look from the witch before she asked me if I was English or Norwegian. I explained my background, being half-Norwegian, and she followed up with asking me if I recognized the symbol she'd drawn up. I did not.

At that point she scoffed and, with more than a hint of irritation, told me that people like me were the reason the world "Is going completely to shit"... Y'know, what with not preserving the ancient traditions and magicks and all that.

Later in the evening she tried to make a convert of the bartender, by showing off the book that serves as the foundation of her faith... A book which was written by an Icelandic Christian in the 13th century.


So basically what I'm saying is; fuck if I know.

Ok so I want to start by saying that everyone has mixed up things like this briefly, so I don't want to come across as mocking some guy for the kind of brainfart moment we all have. I do dumber shit than this, for suresies.

Some guy called in to my center quite upset, becuase we had scanned his package IN THE FUTURE. You see, his package had arrived in the morning, and then been updated as delayed due to the holiday season at 12PM today, which is Midnight.

This is not a typo, it was in fact his complaint. I googled what time 12PM was because I wasn't sure if this was actually happening, and then politely advised him that 12PM is, in fact, Noon. He got angry for a moment and then hung up mid-sentence.

I want to thank him for adding some comic joy to my life. Thank you Midnight Man, and remember we're all human.

Yeah I get that, 12 hour time is bullshit. Slightly moreso than time in general.
