Logically, any insurance contract in a world where the Purge exists would in clude a "This contract does not cover Acts Of Purge" clause.

I mean... why? Short term high risk insurance is already a thing in reality, nevermind something that could only be bought immediately after a purge, guaranteeing a certain period to leech money from the insured person. Purge insurance would almost certainly exist, cover acts of purge, and just be stupidly expensive or not pay much out.

Not to mention covered by a host of lawyers and forensic analysts who would determine whether or not any damages incurred were actually within the scope of the Purge, as discussed previously.

Reasonable grounds to suspect it happened outside of Purge time? No payout for you!

Though I imagine a real purge would actually create people that are wannabe warlords that enforce their own simplified and brutal version of the law, keeping something that resembles peace and order within those 12 hours.*

I'm imagining it's more a situation where people would use the purge to go all vigilante on corporations & oligarchs, by making billions of bootleg Disneys & Insulin injections whilst IP laws are void
