Also Im surprised is not even censored or anything. One wold think steam would put it behind some warning or spoilers.

Fuck I get asked how old I am every single gucking time I want to see a resident evil game despite steam very well fucking knowing how old I am.. but this is okay?

Also the comments are hillarious!

Is this game relevant to you?

This game doesn't look like other things you've played in the past. As such we don't have much information on whether or not you might be interested in it
Yeah maybe because you insist on broadcasting my play history to everyone on my contact list, Steam, you ever think of that?  I've been on Invisible mode for over a year now but that doesn't hide my playtime.  I want to buy your pr0ns but you're actively discouraging me!  Also my brother doesn't need to know how many times I fell asleep with Stardew Valley open!

Even if I use offline mode it tells everyone about my purchases.  Idiots.

Hentai and porn is fine as long as you are 11 or older.  Violence and gore in a fantasy setting on the other hand... That's horrible! PROTECT THE CHILDREN!!!

I think we were on that topic yesterday, yes. Hence the reference.

I'm sorta wondering if this might've been part of some kind of cooperative effort to specifically get this game on the Best Seller list.

Because if that list is just handled by an algorithm, and not checked by humans before publication, then there's the potential of there being a coding oversight where they don't expect an adult game to make it onto that list and get published. So they don't even think to put extra protections in place.

Honestly, I simply don't know.

... y'know, I've had this laptop for, like. A year. And I just now noticed it doesn't have a built in DVD player.

The only new laptops that do have things other than USB are gaming (and workstation) laptops. Those tend to have a lot of ports, but I think it depends on the particular model you're looking at. Mine has (apart from USB-A and USB-C) a Kensington lock, Ethernet, HDMI and DisplayPort. I think it's because gaming laptops aren't usually made to be thin and light (there do exist thin and light gaming laptops, mind you), so the designers have more freedom to put more ports on the board because they're not under that much of a size or weight constraint.

I dunno why the "thin-and-light" thing is so important to consumers. Like, that's great, but I want to be able to do hard work on my computers, and thin-and-light goes against that philosophy. I'd sacrifice too much for that to be worth it. Where are the ports? Where's the cooling system? Where's the CPU? Those are far more important to me. Looks? Fuck that! I'll take this bootleg-ass Threadripper "laptop" if it means I get to do funny things with it.

Because at some point you are supposed to pick up and move the laptop.

My laptop has 1 3.5-Jack, 2 USB 2.0 A, 1 USB 3.0 A, 1 HDMI, and 1 Ethernet connector. Also something which may be a memory card slot.

I failed to identify the HDMI before. I was at some point trying to get a HDMI cable into it, failed, and thought it was some other connector. But it is labeled as HDMI.

If you want many things and do not care about mobility, buy a tower, not a laptop. It is also easier to modify.

I dunno why the "thin-and-light" thing is so important to consumers.

Because at some point you are supposed to pick up and move the laptop.

But at some point, "thin-and-light" stops sounding like a reasonable concern, and more like an excuse to spend big bucks on laptops that can't do much. You tell me what the hell you can do with a Samsung Galaxy Chromebook. 1 kilogram (2.2 pounds) and 1 centimeter (0.39 inches) thick, sure, but at what cost?

But I suppose my wants are different. I want a desktop-like machine that just happens to be portable (for a stretched definition of "portable"). The people who go for these travel often (at least, pre-COVID). They like having a light machine to work with, and those ultra-thin-and-light laptops fit the bill. Which brings me to:

If you want many things and do not care about mobility, buy a tower, not a laptop. It is also easier to modify.

See, a tower would be too large for me to carry back and forth. Plus, there's the whole "bring your entire setup, including monitor, keyboard, and mouse" thing, which wouldn't have worked too well going to uni. So I went with a compromise, which is my gaming laptop. It's heavy as shit, but it gives me good-enough performance that I'm willing to put up with the sheer THICCness of this laptop. If I could, I'd go for a desktop-replacement machine, but those are well out of my budget. Someday, I'll buy one.

Chromebooks specifically are inteded as ultra-cheap machines with minimal power that are used almost exclusively for light web browsing and a minimal level of office suites. They're ideal for "occasionally working om tje go" scenarios, or "homework computer you cannot install games on" ones, and are more recently proving useful for mass deployment of videocomfrencing, bit that is the exrtent of intended use.

Your criticism is more practically directed at things like Macbooks that are supposed to have serious power but push extreme thinness to the point where it is a serious obstacle for AESTHETICS.
