It’s almost as if he runs the place.
And this is why we must repent as we are but lowly creatures in his presence!

I confess that I am very unmoist as well. But I am very amphibious.

How bad do you have to be at inventory management to completely run out of a particular common type of food in your grocery store.  This is a type of food that essentially has a constant demand... how do you even get it wrong?  Also WTF is up with discontinuing other common foodstuffs?  These are not things that are in the news for supply shortages either. It's like "oh sorry, we constantly sold out of that particular type of food, so obviously it's not selling well so we'll just not even have shelf space for it any more."

Doesn't help I'm running on less sleep than I need, everything is pissing me off this morning.

Well, if it is a good (a goods?) that is not in shortage, but in constant (high?) demand -- and more so if it is a perishable -- it is likely that the store is depending on frequent deliveries that they pack up on the day rather than something they keep out in stock out back. That means they're likely to be just a single delivery being missed (or just late, if you get to the store on delivery day and they haven't arrived yet) away from running out, since constant demand means customers are always buying what they have.

I blame the store manager actually - they recently reduced the shelf space for those items by about 50%.

The things missing: store brand bread, store brand equivalent of rice chex, and the name brand goldfish crackers.

The store brand bread makes me particularly irritated because of the shelf space reduction. I think they did it to improve store margins: the remaining available bread is literally twice as expensive.  The cereal is an odd one; I don't know why they eliminated that.

Goldfish? I think they don't understand how many elementary school students are around. And they only have enough shelf space for like 10 cartons - it's like they want to have to have their stock people constantly moving.

I'm also irritated because every time I'm in the store, there are about a half-dozen stock workers just milling around, moving very slowly.

It's one of those things I'm like... it can't really be this hard, can it?

My local grocery store has been out of chili with beans along with instant mashed potatoes for a whole month now, and most any in the area are all out of sriracha sauce.

If there's no way to get instant mashed potatoes, of all things, maybe it really can.

Logistics is famously difficult. Supermarkets are essentially logistics centers. I can only imagine it gets harder to manage correctly when in charge is a business owner thirsty only for profit and the manpower is depressed minimum wage workers only attached to the enterprise by a need for money to survive.

Earlier I was up on the roof clearing off some leaves that were stuck up there and I found hidden under a bunch of leaves a small angel statue, all we can figure is an animal brought it up there but we can't figure out why they would do that especially since the last known location of the statue was quite far from any way animals typically get onto the roof.
