In my defence, I was like 7, and thought it was the coolest thing in the history of mankind :P
If you're talking about the accordion, it is one of the coolest things in the history of mankind. 'Tis an amazing instrument capable of making incredible music. Even polka is not without its merits, but the accordion is very versatile in terms of genre, and its use in other genres -- zydeco, sea shanty stuff, klezmer, and many, many others -- has been, in my experience, profound.

The accordion is quite possibly my favorite instrument. It kicks more ass than nearly all others. A well played accordion is a thing of glory and awe.

It took me until reading half of Ansem Retort to realize that Xemnas spells "mansex". Goddamn it, Marluxia.

Eh. Everyone uses it in these genres.

How about a kid shreddin' some Vivaldi on an accordion?

I love instruments used outside their genre niche.

We are doomed. It's just that whatever is going to kill us all just happens to be, from a scientific standpoint, pretty frickin' awesome.

I was about to go on a bike ride when a little bee landed on my leg, I smacked it and it got back on my leg again, I hit it once more and it slowly ascended into the sky.

Grim (my 5 yr old) found these near our place.  There's three of them.  One on each of three small trees in a row, nestled at the top of the trunk where it splits off into branches.

They look like spider webs, but I've never seen webs like these -- small lairs of death and desecration.  They seriously look like they can barely hold the weight of all the corpses and filth in them.

Can anyone identify WTF these things are?  What made them?

Meh, I don't play the guitar.

I wonder exactly how many people here do. Or any other music thing. From the top of my head, me, Putnam, Glloyd, Max White (IIRC), Pnx, Th4 mentioned learning piano... I think there used to be a thread for that, but it seems to have died four years ago.
