I have a reputation of being incredibly stingy with my moneys.


Went out with my mom for dinner yesterday. Nobody died, so I guess it was okay.

Except she already ate. It was an excuse to get me away from my dad's and bring me shopping with her. We went to a McDonald's inside of a Walmart.

She offered to buy me lunch supplies for work, but I already had plenty. She then insisted that what she would get me would be better than anything my dad picked up for me. Not sure why she feels the need to one-up him. And that's how I ended up with a new can-opener.

For some reason she thought that a public store was the perfect place to talk about her boyfriend's youngest son's racism. In a not-so-subtle whisper, while trying to avoid other customers. This is something you talk about at home or maybe in the car, but not in a public area. At least she was trying to whisper, I guess. Sometimes she doesn't, and ends up saying some loud, ignorant things. Not as bad as her boyfriend, though.

Ever have that thing where you look at a word so long that it seems like the word isn't even real anymore?

I've been working on a tattoo with "MILK" written on it all day, and it doesn't even sound like a word to me anymore. I'm wondering if milk is even real right now.

Not the first time this has happened, either.

It happens when you repeat a word a bunch in a short amount of time. The word quickly loses all meaning for lack of individuality from other words.

Yeah... I really agree on so many levels.

Since frankly even if I were to accept what he says, like everything from the creationist dogma... the fact that aliens are "inherently damned"... and that TECHNICALLY the Bible never says there aren't plants and animals in space (as in it doesn't say there isn't aliens)... Why ohh why does this make it less interesting or relevant?

Also no one is "desperately trying to prove evolution" as far as anyone trying to "prove it" is concerned they already succeeded. They are currently trying to round out their information.
