Oh good, I'm not the only one who noticed. The old one had ice caps on.

the disapearance of the ice caps is a sign of the dwarficentric climate change that the elves have been railing against.

In the past couple days, I've been making an effort to sleep and eat more. It used to be that I would get maybe 2-3 hours of sleep a night, and would skip breakfast and lunch (no time to eat the former or prepare the latter). I started sleeping 8 hours, and made myself make food for breakfast and lunch. What am I rewarded with for treating myself right for once? Sudden, random, painful headaches. WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME BODY? I didn't have these before, and they started up right around when I started this. WTF body. Just... WTF.

I had a similar experience today. I have no idea why but I got a splitting headache around 9:00 am (CET). I still have no idea why. I got enough sleep, wasn't dehydrated, don't have high blood-pressure, and haven't had any other headaches for well over a month.

You're finally awake enough to feel pain :P

Lack of sleep = numbness, in every meaning of the word.

Speaking of lack of sleep...

I have barely slept for a few days and I almost poured a can of soup into the toaster. Luckily I noticed the oven didn't have a soup pot on it, so I went "Where am I putting the soup then?" and realized it was the toaster. Help me.

Into a cup and into the microwave.  A mug of soup really goes a long way.

Hmmm...

I can't. I'm sorry. You have my sympathy, but you don't know the depths of tired.

I'm on my 12,453rd wind, or thereabouts. You know, as in "No, I can do this, I think I'm getting my second wind"?

I cooked on a plate and then transferred my food to the frying pan.

If we're doing a "strange simple tasks we messed up" just a few weekends ago I put our last thing of coffee (all i had left was a sample packet left in my mailbox, I needed that coffee) in to the reservoir of the percolator instead of the filter. I just stared at it for 5 minutes.

And that happens regularly at work. Except for the staring bit, no time to think about mistakes, just dump rinse grab a new bag and remember the filter this time. Which is one of several reasons I prefer to work on the sandwiches, harder to mess up. Still do, and it wrecked my arm giving me an extra early Christmas break, but it is harder to mess up.

I always forget the actual coffee bit at work. I have made many pots of hot water at 6 in the morning after going to bed at 2.

My older brother seems to think that I'm gay. I'm concerned that my closest family member apparently doesn't know me that well. I'm past the age where that sort of thing is usually in question, and he's met previous girlfriends of mine anyway.

The hell? You know those hackers who attacked Sony? Well, they're threatining a 9/11 type attack. Not sure if they just mean a digital pearl harbor or they're threatening to kill people.

I thought it was meant to be North Korea or something who did that? Or was that something else?

Well, it's apparently some hacker group behind it, whether they're affiliated with North Korea, I have no idea. However, what they're saying goes right into movie and comic supervillian territory, it's THAT outrageous of a threat.
