I think you're missing the point, neonivek.

This guy is a ridiculously terrible person, manipulative, racist, and generally just kept burying himself deeper and deeper to the point where he might as well checked himself for devil horns at the end of it... and the hilariously inept way he goes about his manipulation and schmoozing...

The cringe is real.

That was physically painful.

UUUUUGH!!! I know people like that...

Then I saw that false statistic and so I immediately went to disprove it and go "Aha see you racist your wrong!" but alas I cannot validate or contradict it. Then again I doubt such a thing could be reliably studied.

I could be, but it would require doing things that would mean you'd have to move to Argentina afterward.

The cringe is real.
You remember how in Starcraft two Templars could merge to form an Archon?

This is like that, except ten thousand fedora-wearing redditors have combined to create a Cringe Elemental.

Can we please at least attribute this to the right group? The *Insert appropriate pop culture reference and acceptable target here* seem a lot more appropriate.

I mean yikes can we add sense to our hyperbole? :P

I'm pretty sure "sensible hyperbole" is an oxymoron.

Hard science is like a sword, and soft science is like fear. You can use both to equally powerful results, but even if your opponent disbelieve your stabs, they will still die.

Is bowing to people when you say thank you or you're welcome really that weird? Because apparently lots of people think it is...

It's unusual. I think it might come across as a bit too polite or deferent.

E: That's the second time today I've used a word that spellcheck thinks is not a word.

Depends on the culture, probably. Like, I think it's a thing in Japan, but only when you want to be formal. Key word being I think. Could fact check but I don't feel like it, it's 1 in the morning and I have an essay to procrastinate on.

Yeah, you're deferent when you show deference by deferring. It's one of those words that is in every part of speech.

And spellcheck doesn't think deferent is a word :I
