I've never met a Jewish/Vegan person who was offended at the very mention of a pork product. And while I've never met a Jehovahs Witness (besides when they come to the door, and those don't count because I make them think I worship satan) I'm willing to bet that most of them wouldn't be offended by the word "birthday".
